Delaney Micensky will serve as the Head Coach of 17 Crimson and Assistant Coach for 18 Apex at Arizona Legacy this season. With over nine years of coaching experience, a strong background in both women’s and boys volleyball, and a decorated playing career at the collegiate and semi-pro level, Delaney brings leadership, technical skill, and high-level perspective to the gym.

Delaney played four years of varsity volleyball in Arizona, followed by six seasons of club, before competing at the University of the Southwest (NM), where she racked up over 1,200 career assists and 74 career service aces. She earned multiple awards during her collegiate career, including Newcomer of the Year, All-Tournament Team, and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and helped lead her team to conference playoff appearances and a conference championship runner-up finish.

She also competes at the semi-pro level with Mesa Las Muertas (VLA), where she serves as part of the team’s leadership group. Most recently, her squad placed 4th at the 2025 West Coast Cup and 6th at the Chicago Cup.

Delaney began coaching boys club volleyball in 2020 and currently serves as the Head Boys Coach at Peoria High School, where she’s helped lead the program to 4A State Play-In appearances in back-to-back seasons. She also coaches girls volleyball as the JVA Head Coach at Canyon View High School, and previously served as the Varsity Assistant for Pinnacle High School Girls Volleyball.

Delaney’s club coaching achievements include leading teams to multiple top finishes at USA Volleyball Boys Junior Nationals, including:
– 1st Place – 2024 BJNC 15 Club, with a player named MVP and two others earning All-Tournament Team honors
– 3rd Place – 2025 BJNC 16 Club, with another All-Tournament Team selection
– 1st in Silver – 2024 SCVA Junior Boys Invitational (15s)

Delaney holds a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, is a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and is currently completing certifications in Exercise Therapy and Sports Nutrition. She brings a holistic and athlete-centered approach to Arizona Legacy—focused on discipline, accountability, and growth both on and off the court.
