Assistant Coach - 17 APEX

Chase Marcy will serve as an Assistant Coach for Arizona Legacy’s 17 Apex team this season, bringing championship-level experience, structure, and a steady presence to the gym. Originally from Burbank, California, Chase played high school volleyball at Burbank High before continuing his career at SG Elite, then moving on to compete at the collegiate level for Pierce College and Ottawa University Arizona.

During his four years at OUAZ, Chase helped the program capture both GSAC and NCCAA tournament titles, and was part of the squad that won the 2022 national championship—an experience that shaped his competitive mindset and coaching style.

Chase previously coached alongside Arizona Legacy’s owner and director, Daniel Velasquez Wilson, on a 17 Open team that produced multiple athletes who earned national-level recognition, including USA Volleyball NTDP invites and college roster spots. He’s known for being grounded, reliable, and able to build real relationships with his athletes. His ability to create a focused, high-accountability training environment makes him a key part of what we’re building at Legacy.

Off the court, Chase works as a Facilities Manager at Camelback Ranch – Glendale, the spring training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. He brings that same attention to detail and high standard of professionalism into every gym he steps into.
