Arizona Legacy Summer 2026

Legacy Lab is Arizona Legacy’s spring development and competition season for boys 14U and under. It is designed for middle school and early high school athletes who want structured training, real team competition, and a positive introduction to boys club volleyball without the cost or travel of a national season.

This season is focused on development, confidence, and learning how club volleyball works.

This program is open to boys in 6th through 8th grade, and in some cases advanced younger athletes may be approved by the coaching staff. It is ideal for athletes who are new to club volleyball, transitioning from middle school or rec volleyball, or returning Legacy players who want to continue training and competing in the spring. 

The Legacy Lab Spring Season follows 14U age guidelines, but placement is based primarily on grade level, size, and readiness. Most athletes will be in 6th through 8th grade, with some younger athletes invited if they are physically and emotionally ready for this level of training.

Athletes from other clubs may attend Placement Day as long as they are not under contract for another club’s national season or have a written release from their current club.

This is a placement process, not a cut-based tryout. Arizona Legacy is prepared to form one to three teams depending on turnout. The goal is to place every athlete into an appropriate team so they can train, play, and grow in a supportive environment.

The season runs from Mid January 2026 through Mid April 2026.

Placement Day is January 24, 2026.
Tournament dates are February 25, March 14, April 11, and April 18. Subject to change by the Arizona Region of USA Volleyball.
The final tuition payment is due April 1, 2026.

Teams practice two evenings per week at AZ Hype, typically on either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.

Most practice nights include:

• Two hours of volleyball training
• One hour of Elite U sports performance training (once per week included in dues)

Both take place at the same facility, back to back, so families only need to make one trip.

Approximately 17 total team practices are included during the season, this is subject to change based on team allotment and roster sizes

All practices take place at AZ Hype, Arizona Legacy’s home training home located at
2215 W Lone Cactus Dr, Unit B17, Phoenix, AZ 85027. 

All four tournaments are Arizona Region USA Volleyball events held in the Phoenix Valley. No overnight or out of state travel is required.

Teams typically have 10 to 12 athletes to balance development, playing time, and training quality.

The total season tuition is $675 per athlete.

A $275 deposit is due on January 24, 2026. This secures your athlete’s roster spot and allows uniforms and tournament entries to be ordered. 

We take pride in offering cost effective payment plans. Families may choose from multiple payment plans. All plans include the $275 deposit at Placement Day, with remaining payments due on February 1, March 1, and April 1 depending on the plan selected.

All payments are processed through SportsEngine under your athlete’s account and do not include credit card processing fees. Those are applied by SportEngine at the time of payment. Automatic reminders are sent before each due date. Families who wish to avoid credit card processing fees may pay in full by check to DVW Volleyball LLC, DBA Arizona Legacy Volleyball Academy.

• One pair of Nike uniform shorts

• Certified Head Coach and Assistant Coach
• Facility access during team practices

The AZ Hype facility membership and the Arizona Region USA Volleyball membership are required but not included. These are paid directly to their respective organizations.

Athletes may add additional Elite U performance training sessions for an additional fee.

Yes. All athletes must have an active Arizona Region USA Volleyball membership to participate in practices and tournaments.

Yes. All athletes training at AZ Hype must have an active AZ Hype facility membership.

Deposits become non-refundable once teams are formed, because uniforms and tournament entries are paid immediately after Placement Day as they cover custom ordered gear.

No. All competition is local to the Phoenix Valley.

Yes. This spring season is designed to complement school and middle school volleyball, not replace it. Athletes that are in high school and rostered on an AIA team are not able to compete with us this fall due to AIA 14.4.

All schedules, team updates, and payment information are handled through Band, the official communication application of AZ Legacy..

Arizona Legacy will work with families on safe return-to-play timelines, but tuition and payment obligations remain in effect once teams are formed. SportEngine does offer an insurance plan at check out to help with tuition coverage.
