2026 14U Spring Season Information Page

Spring season is designed for 14U athletes in 8th grade or below, giving them the opportunity to keep training and competing after the traditional club season ends. The Arizona Region runs a short, four-tournament schedule on Feb 25, Mar 14, Apr 11, and Apr 18.

What sets Legacy Spring Season apart is our central practice location at AZ Hype and built-in Elite U sports performance training. Practices are held Mondays and Wednesdays for a total of 16 practices:

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Volleyball practice
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Elite U sports performance (same night, same facility)

This structure delivers consistent volleyball development plus strength and speed work, all under one roof, so athletes can keep improving and compete with confidence.

Evaluation Day (Feb 24 at AZ Hype)

This is our spring placement tryout. Athletes will rotate through skill stations and live play so coaches can assess technique, game IQ, and positional fit. From there, we build balanced rosters that set every athlete up to grow and compete. Our intent is to place every athlete who attends. Ideal roster size is 10–12 players per team.

What to bring: court shoes, kneepads, water bottle.

Who’s eligible

Current Arizona Legacy athletes who meet the 14U (8th grade or below) criteria are eligible for spring.
Athletes from other clubs are welcome at Evaluation Day only if they are not under contract for Nationals with another club. If they are contracted/rostered elsewhere, they’ll need to obtain a written release from their home club before participating with Legacy in spring programming.
Policies can vary by the Arizona Region; families are responsible for securing any required releases before the first practice.

Required Documents

The Arizona Region has gone fully digital. In past seasons, families had to bring concussion forms, medical release forms, and other documents directly to their clubs. Beginning this boys season, families will no longer be required to turn these forms in to clubs. All necessary forms are now included as part of your AZ Region USA Volleyball membership registration and will be completed when you purchase your membership.

Families should complete their USA Volleyball membership prior to evaluations.

Please note that families still need to turn in a copy of their athlete’s birth certificate at check-in for age verification.
