New Club. Big energy. Higher expectations.
Arizona Legacy is for athletes who want more. More structure. More competition. More purpose behind every rep. We’re not here to do what everyone else is doing. We’re here to raise the standard for boys volleyball in the Valley.
We train out of one of the best facilities in the state at AZ Hype. Our athletes work with top-tier coaches and get in-house performance training through Elite U. Every team in this program is built to develop, compete, and grow.
If you’re ready to get after it, we’ll see you in the gym.

The Open House Period is a 10-day window set by the Arizona Region before official tryouts begin. It gives boys volleyball athletes the chance to visit different clubs, meet coaches, and see what training environments feel like the best fit, no pressure, no commitments.
This is your time to explore and ask questions without having to rush a decision.
Here’s how it works:
This period isn’t about locking players in — it’s about helping families make confident, informed choices.
At Arizona Legacy, we fully support the Open House Period. We’ll be hosting age-specific training sessions that follow region guidelines and give athletes a real look at how we train, coach, and compete.
No pressure. No strings. Just an honest look at what we’re building.
Each athlete is required to bring printed and completed copies of the following forms to check-in on tryout day in order to participate: the AZ Region Medical Release Form, the Concussion Acknowledgment Form, the SafeSport Training Form (signature page only), and a copy of the athlete’s birth certificate for age verification.
Forms for the 2025–2026 season will be uploaded as soon as they are finalized by the AZ Region. Please ensure all documents are completed in advance. Athletes will not be permitted to participate without them.

When you show up, you’ll check in, turn in your paperwork, and your athlete will get a tryout shirt with a number. Tryouts are structured and move quickly — our goal is to place each athlete on the team that best matches their development and potential. If selected, you’ll meet with a coach and go through our Legacy Commitment Process to finalize next steps.
If your athlete is placed on a team, The athlete and a parent or guardian will attend a short team meeting. We’ll go over team placement, registration, practice schedule, group chat info, and deposit details. It’s quick but important — we want to make sure families leave with everything they need.
Legacy Checkout is your final stop before heading out. Families will confirm registration and pay deposits, set up payment plans while athletes will have the chance to try on jerseys, game shorts, and Nike gear to make sure everything fits before placing your player pack order..
You’ll need to bring printed copies of the following: the AZ Region Medical Release Form, Concussion Acknowledgment Form, SafeSport Training Form (signature page only), and a copy of your son’s birth certificate. No paperwork means no tryout — we can’t allow athletes on the court without it.
As of right now we have practice slots and coaches secured for the following teams. We are prepared to expand or pull back if needed.
Practice schedules are tentative and depend on how many teams we form, but all training takes place in the evening between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM at AZ Hype.
Here’s the current plan:
Monday & Wednesday Crimson & Iron Preferred Practice Date
Tuesdays & Thursdays Apex Preferred Practice Date
Saturdays
High School aged teams will rotate between positional training and team practices. Final times will be shared once rosters are set.
Yes. Every athlete trains with Elite U Sports Performance on their week day practice day as part of their team schedule. These mandatory sessions are built into your dues and focus on strength, speed, injury prevention, and overall athletic development — no extra cost, no hidden fees.
Families may also opt in on including an additional 3rd day of Elite U Sports Performance training on Saturday prior to after practice for an additional charge. More info coming soon.
Yes. All teams will compete in local Arizona Region Power Events and attend select tournaments throughout the season. These events are designed to give athletes meaningful, competitive reps.
Save the Date — Tentative Tournament Events for 2025–2026:
Final travel schedules and team assignments will be shared after tryouts.
We’re finalizing our contract with Nike, but we expect the player pack to include:
Sizing will be confirmed during Legacy Checkout, and full details will be shared once finalized.
Absolutely. Arizona Legacy is committed to helping athletes take the next step in their journey. As former college coaches, our staff understands how important visibility, academics, and timing are in the recruiting process.
Athletes are expected to maintain strong academic standards — that’s non-negotiable. In return, Legacy supports their recruiting journey through our recruiting coordinator and club owner, Daniel Velasquez Wilson.(Daniel@AZLegacyVolleyball.com)
High school-aged teams will also have access to extra BallTime AI and Hudl, making it easy to create highlight reels and stay visible to college programs throughout the season.
Legacy isn’t just a jersey — it’s a full program. We’ve secured consistent gym space, built partnerships with Nike and Elite U, and created a system focused on player development, structure, and a culture that puts athletes first. We’re here to build something that lasts — on and off the court.
